Scott Law is now into the second year of a two year contract which will bring him to a decade of service to Keighley Cougars.

Scott, affectionally known as ‘Judge’ to both supporters and teammates, joined the club ahead of the 2008 campaign following his release from the Rochdale Hornets.

One of many to be playing in the professional and semi-professional ranks following coming through Siddal, one of the game’s top amateur setups, Scott joined Halifax and first appeared for the club in 2004.

Moving onto Spotland at the end of the 2006 season, Law spent just the one year at Spotland before arriving at Cougar Park as one of Barry Eaton’s many signings following the end of his first season as the club’s Player-Coach

Since joining the Cougars, Scott has made over 150 appearances for the club, his 150th coming in a 2016 iPro Sport Cup victory against the Wath Brow Hornets, and was a key player in the sides that won the 2009 & 2011 Championship One Play Off Finals.

Judge was affected more than most following the death of his best friend Danny Jones in a 2015 fixture away at the London Skolars, but continued to impress and was one off the Cougars stand out performers through the season.

In 2016, he put pen to paper on a new two year deal with the club and was a part of the side that lifted the iPro Sport Cup in Blackpool and despite missing most of the second half of the season with a back injury came back to help the side in the Super Eights phase despite missing out on the end of season play-offs.
