Ryan Wright


Ryan Wright joined Keighley Cougars in September 2017, arriving from League One rivals Doncaster RL.

The 25 year old hooker arrives at Cougar Park following 18 months at the Keepmoat Staidum, his second spell with the Dons, in which time he made 39 appearances for the South Yorkshire outfit, scoring 3 tries.

Wright began his career with Leeds Rhinos before moving onto Wakefield Trinity and coming through the academy system at the Beaumont Legal Stadium before moving to the Dewsbury Rams ahead of the 2013 season as one of Glenn Morrison’s first signings for the club.

During what would be his first spell at the Tetley’s Stadium, the hooker made 29 appearances for the Rams in which time he scored 2 tries before moving to Doncaster midway through 2015 but couldn’t help the Dons’ avoid relegation from the Championship that season.

Wright then returned to the Rams for the 2016 campaign and made a further six appearances for the club before being released to re-join Doncaster midway through that year as ths side qualified for the League One Play-Offs where they would be defeated by the Barrow Raiders.
