Reserves Side Named To Face Brighouse

Reserves Head Coach Scott Lindsey has today named his side as the Reserves prepare to begin there 2018 programme against Brighouse Rangers.

The pre-season friendly takes place at Cougar Park this Wednesday (10th January) evening with a 7:30pm kick-off. Admission for this fixture is £3 for Adults and Concessions with Juniors admission being just £1.

This is the first of three scheduled friendlies for the reserves with Super League pair Huddersfield Giants (31st January) and Wigan Warriors (21st February) also due to visit Cougar Park in the lead up to the new season.

Lindsey has named a 20 man squad to face Brighouse, which includes 9 debutants joining 11 players the club has retained from the 2017 season.

Luke Barnes, Cain Crotty, Miles Darwin, Ethan Egerton-Sharp, Ben Jackson, Joshua Murray, Jay Panter, Tim Stubbs and Harry Williams are all new to Cougar Park for 2018 and will all done the Red, White and Green for the first time against the Rangers this Wednesday evening.

Calvin Barker and Scotland Students International Luke Walters will both feature after a pre-season which saw the pair invited to train with the first team by Head Coach Craig Lingard.

Jak Adams, Jack Brown, Bradley Clarkson, George Kinnaird, Aaron Levy, Keenan McConville, Aaron Nowell, Luke Robinson and Callum Smithson also return from last season’s squad for this season.

The Reserves Championship fixture list will be released in due course with the Cougars joined by Halifax, Leigh, Wakefield and Wigan in this season’s league campaign.
