Quartet Sign New Deals

The Keighley Cougars can tonight confirm that four members of the current squad have this evening signed new deals to remain at Cougar Park.

With the clubs pre-season training ahead of the 2015 season beginning this evening it was vital that those with offers on the table signed to stay with the club.

Gavin Duffy, who finished last season on loan at the Hunslet Hawks, returns from the Championship One Champions to pen a new deal as well as applying to the RFL to be granted a testimonial for his decade of service with the club.

Oliver Pursglove, the 2013 player of the season, featured fourteen times at the back end of 2014 and has signed a deal to become a permanent fixture once again.

The other two to sign new deals with the club are homegrown hooker Sean Kelly and utility Matt Bailey, who spent part of last season on loan at Hemel Stags.

  1. That’s great news Oliver and Gavin never gave less than 100% for our club and in Gavin we will now have a winger / fullback that can catch a ball. Sean and Matt are part of the future and this is also good news , does anyone know if Buster has managed to sort things out as his return would complete the good news ?
