Joe Phillips Memorial Trophy Fixture Confirmed

Keighley Cougars can today announce that the Joe Phillips Memorial Trophy fixture is to return after a five year hiatus.

Rohan Smith and his Bradford Bulls side, who earlier this month lifted the Kingstone Press Championship Shield with a 27-16 victory over the Sheffield Eagles, will visit Cougar Park on Sunday 29th January 2017 for a 2pm KO.

The fixture will also mark a first return to Cougar Park for Ross Peltier since he left the Cougars to join the Bulls at the end of last month.

The last time this fixture was contested, Jason Demetriou’s Cougars side defeated a young Bulls side which featured the likes of current Cougars winger Vinny Finigan 28-12 to lift the trophy.

This is the fourth pre-season friendly to be confirmed following the announcement of friendlies against a Keighley Amateur Select, Whitehaven and Barrow Raiders as Craig Lingard gets his side prepared for the 2017 Kingstone Press League One campaign.

Admission details for this fixture have been announced at £10 Adults; £5 Concessions (Over 60/Student); £1 Juniors (Under 17)
