Keighley Cougars can this evening announce our fifth pre-season friendly ahead of the 2018 season.
The Cougars will head across the Pennines to face League One rivals and recently relegated Oldham Rougyheds at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday 28th January with a 3pm kick off.
The game is currently set to be Oldham’s first game back at the Vestacare Stadium, known to supporters as Whitebank, since the Roughyeds League One Promotion Final victory over the Cougars in September 2015.
During their two seasons away from Whitebank at Bower Fold in Stalybrige, the Roughyeds home has undergone a transformation under tenants Avro FC with the grounds famous sloping pitch being replaced by a state of the art 4G surface.
Other improvements to the ground has seen the clubhouse fully refurbished with a new heating system and new ceilings, furniture and bars installed as well as new outdoor toilets, renewed floodlighting and a general sprucing-up of the stadium as a whole.
Admission details for this fixture will be announced in due course.
