Keighley Cougars are pleased to announce a further two members of the current first team to pledge there future’s to the club.
Man mountain Ross Peltier has signed a new one year deal despite receiving a contract offer from the Hunslet Hawks, the club he has spent the past two months on loan at from the Cougars.
Originally joining from the Huddersfield Giants ahead of 2013, he swiftly departed to spend the season in Australia before return ahead of the 2014 season. Despite playing for the majority of the season, the returns from injury of Scott Law and Andy Shickell forced Ross down the dropping order and this lead to his loan move from the Hawks.
The other player to re-sign is young full back Jesse Sheriffe, younger brother of fellow Cougar, Jode Sheriffe.
Jesse, like Jode, joined the club from Featherstone ahead of the 2012 season and got a good run in the team that season and scored a try against Halifax. With chances limited over the past two seasons, Jesse has still managed to grab a couple of tries against Dewsbury, and again against Halifax.
