Keighley Cougars have today agreed to release Lewis Fairhurst from the remainder of his contract.
Fairhurst joined the club ahead of the 2018 season from the Dewsbury Rams and made four appearances for the club following his debut in March’s defeat away at the York City Knights.
In that time, Lewis scored 3 tries against York, Hunslet and Hemel as well as earning international selection as a part of Richard Tate’s English Universities side.
As a part of his release, Fairhurst can not play against the Cougars should he join another League One club during the 2018 season.
The club wishes Lewis the best in his future endeavours.
