Keighley Cougars v Rochdale Hornets Preview by Joshua Chapman (@Chapalar) in association with A1 Stairlifts.
Following last week’s 29-16 victory away at Sheffield to end a four game losing streak, the Cougars welcome Rochdale Hornets to Cougar Park this Sunday.
Paul March, serving the penultimate game of his two month stadium ban, has been on the receiving end of calls to field an unchanged seventeen this weekend following the tremendous victory at the Champions.
However, with the likes of Paul White and Andy Shickell returning from injury for the clash with the Hornets, this could prove a tricky task for the Keighley Cougars Player-Coach.
The Hornets come into this Sunday’s game on a seven game losing streak which has seen them fall to the foot of the Kingstone Press Championship table.
Ian Talbot will have Fijian international half back Ryan Millward available following a knee injury and this is expected to be the only change depending on players made available by partner club St Helens.
Speaking to the RFL media team, Talbot said: “There were big signs of improvement in that game, and at 55 minutes the game was there for the taking.”
“Keighley are hitting a bit of form and it’s never easy to go to Cougar Park. They’ve got experience across the park, with Danny Jones and Paul Handforth steering them well and Richie Barnett is always a threat out wide. We’ve just got to take each game as it comes and just worry about ourselves and the challenges in front of us.”
