Keighley Cougars v Batley Bulldogs Preview by Joshua Chapman (@Chapalar) in association with A1 Stairlifts.
After a disappointing collapse at Whitehaven, the Cougars will look to get back to winning ways this Sunday against the Batley Bulldogs.
Player-Coach Paul March is expected to make changes for the third consecutive games as the side complete a programme of four games in fourteen days.
These changes may include a return for James Craven (Groin), with James ‘Buster’ Feather (Knee) a doubt for the game this weekend.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Paul said: “The team will depend on how much game-time people have had over the last couple of weeks. We want to get back into a winning mentality. We were in front with seven minutes to go against Whitehaven on Tuesday and self-destructed.”
For Batley, John Kear is simply looking for an improvement in his sides defence after shipping 28 points in last week’s victory over the Rochdale Hornets.
John told the RFL Media: “The attacking play is what the fans want to see, but I’d much rather have a bit of good defensive play as well.”
