Halifax RL v Keighley Cougars Match Preview by Joshua Chapman (@Chapalar) in association with A1 Stairlifts.
Following an outstanding second half performance to wrap up an easy victory against Rochdale on Sunday, the Cougars head to The Shay for a Thursday night clash with Halifax.
Player-Coach Paul March, serving the tenth and final game of his two month stadium ban, will have one changed forced upon him after Welsh international half back Danny Jones went off after eight minutes with a hamstring injury on Sunday.
This could see one of the Under 20’s half back pairing, Sean Kelly and Ben Stead, called upon to fill in for DJ which would mark a second appearance of the season for either after the run out against Widnes.
Thursday’s game could also mark the return of Andy Shickell after the Halifax born Prop Forward missed the last two games through injury.
For the Cougars hosts, Halifax, they come into the game in third place after easing to a 32-14 victory at struggling Sheffield this past Sunday.
Current Fax and former Cougars Coach Karl Harrison is expected to make minimal change from the Eagles victory, with any changes forced through the short turnaround between the two fixtures.
