Keighley Cougars can today announce the club has entered into a dual-registration agreement with the Batley Bulldogs.
Following the appointment of Batley legend Craig Lingard as Cougars Head Coach in late September, the relationship between the two clubs is stronger than ever.
This has been shown by the agreement of two pre-season friendlies between the clubs, the first being won by Batley in mid-January, and now the decision to enter into dual-registration partnership.
By entering into this partnership, it allows Keighley Cougars as a club to bring in cover for positions should we need without the costs incurred by the method of loaning players from clubs.
Lingard has stated in the past that neither he nor the club would use the system at the expense of another player within the club and that Batley players will only be used as cover for positions in which the club is left short due to injury and/or suspension.
Keighley Cougars as a club are looking forward to our new partnership with the Batley Bulldogs and are delighted to be working alongside them.
