Club Statement – Eze Harper

Keighley Cougars have today issued the following statement regarding the signing of Eze Harper.

This past Tuesday (17th January) evening, Keighley Cougars announced the signing of utility back Eze Harper following his release from Betfred Super League side Leigh Centurions.

The signing of Harper helped plug the remaining gap in our side and was an exciting that Keighley Cougars as a club were delighted to have made.

Keighley Cougars have since been informed that Eze has opted against signing his contract with the club in favour of signing a contract with a Kingstone Press Championship club.

Whilst obviously disappointed with this development, Keighley Cougars as a club would like to wish Harper all the best with his new club and will now be looking to add to the squad should the right player become available to us.

  1. He obviously showed what kind of man he was to go back on his word in regards signing.we don’t need players who aren’t commited to the cause and want to play for us just because they havnt got a better offer.goid riddance

  2. I completely agree , it’s early days but the team spirit seems to be sky high and it’s not worth putting it at risk with someone who it appears can’t be relied on to keep his word , I wonder if he will be playing up the road , if so I think he settling for second best !
