Keighley Cougars can today announce Andy Gabriel has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
Originally joining the club’s Reserves grade in 2014 from Bradford based amateur side Odsal Sedbergh, Gabriel’s impressive performances earned him a first team call up for the 2015 season.
The winger’s sensational debut year saw him cross for 21 tries to finish as League One’s third top tryscorer behind teammate Paul White and Rob Massam as well as earning himself a League One Young Player of the Year nomination.
A mixture of injury and the arrival of Vinny Finigan saw Gabes gametime limited in 2016 but he still managed to finish the season as joint 3rd top tryscorer prior to the arrival of Craig Lingard.
Forming a deadly left side partnership with Adam Ryder this season under Linners, Andy has scored 19 tries so far in 2017 to contribute to a 37 try partnership with Ryder.
