This coming Sunday, the Cougars head onto the road for the first time in the new Kingstone Press League One campaign as they look to back up the impressive victory over the North Wales Crusaders in Cheltenham against the All Golds.

VENUE:
The All Golds play their home games out of the Prince of Wales Stadium which is located at the University of Gloucestershire campus in Cheltenham.

The Prince of Wales Sports Stadium is considered one of the best university sports stadiums in the county and boasts a 400m running track, javelin run up, long and triple jump, hammer throw, shot put, pole vault and practice pitches, to name a few.

This popular sports venue is regularly used from all sporting events from school sports days to charity runs, and with a 490-seated spectators’ area, there is something for everyone. The 400 metre track is 6 lanes with a 8 lane 100 metre straight.

The main pitch in which the Cougars will be playing on Sunday and has an underground irrigation system and is regularly maintained. There is disabled access to the track via the stadium car park.

Opened in 1981, a cricket match between Australia and Gloucestershire was played as part of its opening. In September 1981, Cheltenham Tigers rugby union club moved to the stadium and they played a match against Harlequins to celebrate the occasion.

The track was reopened on the 2nd October 1999 after the track surface had been resurfaced with Polytan PUR at a cost of £185,000.

WHERE TO DRINK:
For supporters on matchday, there is a bar on site at the Prince of Wales Stadium which is easily accessible and offers a variety of beer and cider. There is also the 1908 suite at the stadium for those who enjoy the executive experience.

WHERE TO PARK:
There is parking available on site at the Prince of Wales Stadium, there is a limited number of disabled parking and access to the ground can be gained through the running track via the car park.

Head east on Royd Ings Ave toward Alston Rd.
Turn right onto Alston Rd.
At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Hardings Rd/A650.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A629.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A629.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Skipton Rd/A6068. Go through one roundabout.
Turn right onto Keighley Rd/A6068. Continue to follow A6068.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Windsor St/A6068. Continue to follow A6068.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Vivary Way/A6068.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto M65 heading to Nelson/Burnley/Preston/Manchester/M66.
At junction 1, exit onto M6 towards M58/Birmingham/L’pool.
Use the left 2 lanes to take the M6 exit towards Birmingham/M5.
Continue onto M6.
At junction 8, Use the left 2 lanes to take the M5 exit to Birmingham (W & S)/West Bromwich.
Continue onto M5.
At junction 10, exit onto Writhy Bridge/A4019 towards Cheltenham.
Merge onto Writhy Bridge/A4019. Continue to follow A4019.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Kingsditch Ln.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Swindon Rd.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Swindon Rd.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto St Paul’s Rd.
Turn left onto Folly Ln.
Continue onto Tommy Taylors Ln.
Destination will be on your left.

There is limited space available on a supporters mini-bus running to Cheltenham this Sunday, contact Wendy Holder ASAP to secure your seat. The price will range between £12 and £15 depending on the number of supporters who travel.
