Will Milner joined the Cougars on a permanent basis in October 2016 from the Featherstone Rovers following a loan spell with the club during that season.
Milner, a utility back most at home in the halves, initially joined the club on loan from Featherstone in June 2016 and went on to make 8 appearances for the club following an injury to Paul Handforth, scoring tries in a defeat away at Barrow and in a home victory over York the following weekend.
Prior to joining the Cougars, Will came through the youth system at the Rovers and made his name with a number of eye catching performances in the sides reserve grade alongside a number of current Featherstone first teamers before making his senior debut in March 2015 away at Whitehaven.
Milner went on to make 16 appearances that year under both Andy Hay and his replacement John Sharp as the club would eventually defeat the London Broncos in Widnes to be crowned the inaugral Kingstone Press Championship Shield winners.
Will kept his place in the side, making six apperances at the beginning of 2016 before suffering an injury which saw him fall down the pecking order before eventually being loaned out to the Cougars, a move which would end his time at the Big Fellas Stadium.
