Vinny Finigan


Vinny Finigan joined the club ahead of the 2016 season from the Hunslet Hawks following their relegation from the Championship.

In his first year with the club, Finigan scored 9 tries in 13 appearances and played his part in the iPro Sport Cup Final in Blackpool as the Cougars defeated the York City Knights 22-18 to lift the trophy.

A product of the Bradford Bulls academy, Finigan made five appearances for the Odsal club in 2010 prior to moving south to the Sheffield Eagles.

The winger enjoyed three years in South Yorkshire, helping the Eagles win back-to-back Championship titles in 2012 and 2013 scoring 24 tries in 50 appearances whilst making two appearances on loan with the Dewsbury Rams.

At the end of 2013, he moved back to West Yorkshire to joining Batley Bulldogs where he scored 5 tries in 16 appearances prior to moving once again to the Hunslet Hawks.

Whilst the Hawks were relegated at the end of the 2015 season only crossing for 3 tries in 14 appearances whilst also scoring 2 in 2 whilst with the Hemel Stags on dual registration.
