Rikki Sheriffe

Rikki Sheriffe arrived at Cougar Park in February 2015 on loan from Championship side, Halifax RL.

Rikki, the older brother of Cougars duo Jode and Jesse, had spent the past year coaching the Halifax Under 20’s side whilst playing Union for the Bradford & Bingley Bees.

Since joining the Cougars, Rikki has made 34 appearances for the club, scoring 16 tries, including one in the iPro Sport Cup triumph over the York City Knights in Blackpool before accepting Craig Lingard’s offer to join his new look coaching staff ahead of the 2017 season.

However, following the folding of the Blue Sox’s 20’s side, Rikki went back to a playing role but only as backup to Richard Marshall’s backline.

In an extensive playing career which began at The Shay in 2003, Rikki has featured for numerous clubs in League as well as two seperate spells in Union.

After breaking through with Halifax, which featured a loan spell with York, Sheriffe moved into the Super League.

After an two years stint with Harlequins RL which featured a loan spell with Doncaster, Rikki joined the Bradford Bulls.

With 16 tries in 55 appearances at Odsal, Sheriffe switched codes to join the Newcastle Falcons.

Following the conclusion of his contract with the Falcons, Rikki came back to League to re-join Halifax and spent the past year playing Union for the Bees whilst coaching the Halifax sides youth team.
