Liam Darville


Liam Darville is now into his third season as a member of the Keighley Cougars first team squad after being one of the Under 20’s standout performers over the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Liam, an exciting young utility back, was always one of the first name’s on then coach Dean Muir’s teamsheets and had an eye for the tryline and crossed the line on more than twenty occassions during 2013 and 2014 to earn himself a first team deal.

Making his first team debut midway through the 2015 season, Darville established himself as one for the future after impressing on debut against the Oldham Roughyeds, he scored his first try against the Newcastle Thunder a month later.

In 2016, the arrival of Adam Brook on a permanent basis and the loan signing of Will Milner saw Darvo’s chances limited in the side, he did however play the full 80 minutes of the iPro Sport Cup Final victory over the York City Knights in Blackpool.

Darville is a product of the famed amateur setup at Bradford based West Bowling and turned down a scholarship with the Bradford Bulls to join the ranks here at Cougar Park.
