Adam Brook put pen to paper on a two year contract in September 2015 to join from the Bradford Bulls.
Initally joining on loan in late May 2015 to help fill the void left by the death of Danny Jones, ‘Brooky’ quickly cemented himself as a first team regular at Cougar Park.
After impressing with four tries in his opening three games with the club, Brook’s loan was extended for the remainder of the season.
And prior to a knee injury in August which ruled him out of action for six weeks, Brook had scored 6 tries and converted 3 goals in 9 appearances since his debut in early June away at Barrow Raiders.
An exciting young half back, Brook was awarded with a two year contract at Odsal in May of 2014 after regularly impressing with the Bulls Under-19’s side.
The Halifax-born youngster failed to make a single appearance for the Bulls during his sole year as a first team professional at the Provident Stadium, Brook opted to sign for the Cougars following his release from the club.
Brook also made four appearances for League One side Oxford on dual registration earlier in the 2015 season, appearing in wins over Hemel and London and defeats to York and Newcastle.
In 2016, Brook found himself competing with Liam Darville for the starting place alongside Paul Handforth in the halves positions for the Cougars.
However, injuries to both Darville and Handforth and the arrival of Will Milner from the Featherstone Rovers saw ‘Brooky’ become the on-field general and he finished the season as the Cougars top pointscorer with 145 points in all competitions.
