Former Cougars Physio Faz Dawood is set to take on the London Marathon in a fortnight’s time to raise monies for the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund.
Faz is running “in memory of a colleague, inspiration and a friend’ for Cardiomyopathy UK, a charity that carries out vital research into the heart condition that sadly took Danny’s life in May 2015.
Faz was due to cover the game and remembers Danny as a true athlet and leader who gave his sport everything and also the nickname giving to him by Danny of ‘Serg’ as he found a resemblance between Faz and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Dawood is to run the 26.2 miles course of the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April.
