Emmerson Whittel Sustains ACL Injury

Emmerson Whittel is to face possibly upto a year on the sidelines after sustaining a tear to his ACL.

Whittel, who missed three months earlier this season after sustaining a broken jaw at Fryston, fell awkwardly early into the 92-6 victory over Oxford RL two weeks ago.

Emmerson was carried from the field by club doctor Richard Lawrence and physio Darran Miller and referred to a specialist at a nearby hospital.

A MRI scan taken on Mondy has shown that the second-row forward has sustained a tear to his ACL and is now set to miss 10-12 months of action through the injury.

Everyone at Cougar Park would like to wish Emmerson a speedy recovery.
