The club are also sad to announce the departure of two first team regulars this season in Sean Hesketh & Josh Lynam.
Sean, known as Paddy to fans and teammates alike, will depart the club to sign a two year contract with Championship outift Batley Bulldogs which will mark his second spell at the LoveRugbyLeague.com Stadium.
Hesketh arrived from Halifax prior to the beginning of the 2013 campaign and in his two years with the club made 55 appearances, scoring 13 tries in the process.
The other departure will see Josh Lynam leave to travel to Thailand before settling for a year down under in Australia.
Josh, a Cougars academy product, made his first team debut in a 42-10 defeat away at Batley on the opening day of the 2013 season and established himself as a regular in the thirteen towards the end of that campaign and throughout this season just finished making 43 apperances and scoring 11 tries during that time.
Speaking to the clubs Media Manger, Joshua Chapman, Lynam said: “I’ll be back wearing that Cougars jersey again, hopefully we’ll be back where we belong!”
The club would like to thank the pair for their services to the Cougars and wish them the very best in all future endeavours.
