Bumble Bees Back in Town

This Sunday sees a not to be missed curtain raiser to the Cougars Doncaster Fixture when the two codes come together for a day to see a Keighley Cougars Select team take on the Bumble Bees RU team , who are based at Bradford & Bingleys Wagon Lane Ground

The Bumbles are unique in England as the first team playing Mixed Ability Contact Rugby Union.Founded in 2009 by a determined young man with Cerebral Palsy and Learning Difficulties the team has been guided by an established Welsh Inclusive Rugby Side, the Llanelli Warriors..

Both sides met in August 2013 again at Cougar Park , playing a closely contested and highly entertaing game , much appreciated by the home support. This years clash kicks off at 12.30 pm , with the Bees taking on a Cougar Team made up of Club Coaching Staff , and some of the clubs Under 20s and Junior Players.

With the support of the RFU and an established home at the Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club, the Bumble Bees are a stand-alone club, having over 40 registered players with and without disabilities and play regular fixtures against able-bodied teams
