19 Man Squad Announcement – North Wales Crusaders

Head Coach Craig Lingard has today announced his 19 man squad to face the North Wales Crusaders.

Emmerson Whittel (Jaw) is ruled out for three months following the ugly scenes which marred last week’s game against Fryston and joins fellow second-row Ben Sagar (Hamstring) on the sidelines.

With both Emmerson and Ben out injured this means Josh Lynam and Josh Tonks are the only two available back rowers to Linners with the Head Coach opting to bring James Brown in from Batley on dual-registration terms.

Nathan Conroy (Ankle) comes in line for his competitive debut following a six week injury lay-off after the Joe Phillips Memorial Trophy victory over the Bradford Bulls.

Reigning Player of the Year Matthew Bailey also comes into contention for his first appearance of the season following a calf problem.

Vinny Finigan is also brought into the side after impressing for the reserves against Halifax last week with a brace of tries and a strong overall performance.

Aside from Emmerson, Adam Brook (Ribs) is the only other major injury concern for Lingard heading into the new Kingstone Press League One campaign.

Sean Kelly, Neil Cherryholme and Nathan Kitson all drop out of the 19 man squad.
